Zhang Jinghua led a delegation to visit Brunei: Implement the Belt and Road Initiative and to write a new chapter of communication and cooperation.

        From November 17th to 20th, Zhang Jinghua, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, led a delegation to visit Brunei to implement the "the Belt and Road initiative” put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping to further deepen understanding, enhance friendship and deepen cooperation. During his visit,  Zhang Jinghua renewed the sister city agreement on behalf of Nanjing and the city of Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei, witnessed by the two heads of countries.

       Nanjing and Brunei have deep roots and frequent exchanges. In 2011, Nanjing and the city of Bandar Seri Begawan became a sister city which is the only friendship city between the two countries. On November 19th, the two cities renewed the sister city agreement and were included in the "Joint Statement of the People's Republic of China and Brunei Darussalam".

       Zhang Jinghua said that we will conscientiously implement the "Joint Statement" and create a model of friendly exchanges along "the Belt and Road" cities, and contribute to the Chinese strategic partnership established by the two heads of state.

        Zhang Jinghua and the delegation also inspected the Hengyi PMB Project. The said project is the first batch of “the Belt and Road”key projects, and is the largest industrial investment project of Brunei to date. NCC is the largest contractor. Zhang Jinghua learned more about the progress of the project and expressed his condolences and gratitude to the builders who fought in the front line.

       Zhang Jinghua said that the joint construction of the “the Belt and Road” is China's plan to participate global cooperation, improve the global economic  system, promote global common development and prosperity, and promote the building of a community of human destiny.The participation of enterprises of the “the Belt and Road” is both challenges and an opportunity. Make better use of the "two markets" at both home and abroad, intensify reform and innovation, accelerate the pace of "going out", earnestly strengthen quality management, safety management, and team management, establish a good image of Chinese Enterprises, and contribute to China's cooperation with high-quality projects. With practical deeds, the enterprises can help“the Belt and Road”more deepened.
